IT Support Specialist

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist.

DFDS is Northern Europe’s Leading Transport solutions company which is experienced more than 150 years on integrated shipping and logistics solutions.
The role of IT Support Specialist is placed at DFDS headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey, and will report to the IT General Manager located abroad.

You will:

• The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the execution of operational support activities within DFDS.
• It includes administrative work related to Service Support but also dealing with internal and external contacts.
• The IT Support Specialist maintains contact with different parties and takes care of the Service Support documents and associated knowledge base.
• IT Support Specialist is the operational contact for all IT suppliers and IT service providers related to specific DFDS domains and applications.

Your responsibility:

• Maintaining contacts with users, suppliers, and service providers.
• Maintaining detailed functional knowledge related to specific domains and applications
• Query resolution relating to end-user questions relative to domains and applications
• Managing and executing the ITIL processes relative to the role,
• Executing activities within the Service Delivery and Service Support domains.
• Communicates with different parties on service support activities.
• To ensure a prompt, courteous and appropriate response to all customer requests for assistance and support
• Supporting the service manager in his operational activities.


Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science or Information Technology)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an information technologies environment providing technical support
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Good knowledge and client, operational experience on Microsoft products (Windows 10, M365 and Microsoft Office products)
• Knowledge and hands-on experiences of the notebook, desktop, software, and hardware deployment/troubleshooting/resolution.
• Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex technical problems in person, on the phone, and via email, helpdesk tickets, or remote tools.
• A strong commitment to team culture and environment
• Willing to learn new products and technologies and easily adapt to technological innovations.
