IT Coordinator

 To fulfil our challenging and ambitious goals we need to strengthen our competence and are therefore looking for a IT Coordinator to join our team!

 

 Key accountabilities

• Responsible for IT support for End-users, HW, SW, Infrastructure, Operational Security issues and Business solutions for Kongsberg Maritime Middle East offices in the GCC Countries.
• Sourcing client hardware & software in accordance with KONGSBERG corporate standards and policies.
• Client HW support such as Install, configure and troubleshoot the following: printers, video conference, IP phones, door access control systems, mobile devices and (laptop & desktop) computers onsite.
• Client Software support such as Install and configure KONGSBERG approved software (or new major versions), network drives
• Train end-users in how to use mainstream products/services, KONGSBERG systems, remote access, etc.
• Handle support tickets assigned to the local queue daily. All tickets must be updated and resolved as soon as possible (Immediate to 72hours depending on the criticality). 24x7 availability for handling/solving critical issues.
• Assist KONGSBERG IT in any issues regarding local IT infrastructure (network and servers).
• Responsible for assuring that the local IT infrastructure is compliant with security regulations.
• Management/maintenance of local servers
• Handle & resolve all IT Infrastructure related and Operational issues within the time frame in liaison with the global/regional IT team
• This role is also required to assist with other undefined IT or Office related activities when needed.

 

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an IT support engineer or similar role
• Experience in administering servers, network systems and other IT infrastructure
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Ability to assess hardware/software requirements and recommend upgrades or replacements
• Excellent desktop end-user support and Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Be service minded, humble and know the importance of giving the necessary attention to end-users.
• Strong ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
• Good networking skills, ability to work with external parties and others in a team, and lead by example.
