Due to internal growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Coordinator to join Kongsberg Maritime’s existing IT department in Kristinehamn. In this role you will support our employees on and off-site and collaborate with our global IT function and service desk. Since you will navigate between the whole organization and have stakeholders on different levels, you should be a driven and organized team-player with a problem-solving mindset. To thrive in this role, we believe that you have project management skills and that you are willing to contribute to developing our IT department in order to provide the best IT support for our employees.

Key accountabilities

As IT Coordinator you will be responsible for the day-to-day user support, troubleshooting and handling of IT security issues. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware onsite, such as printers, mobile devices, and computers as well as provide our employees with end user training.

As a member of the IT team, you will be responsible for assuring that the local IT infrastructure is compliant with company and security regulations and actively participate in projects of an IT nature including compliance with Kongsberg’s standard, quality system and work instructions.

Depending on experience level, you will also contribute to managing questions and troubleshoot local servers, network, internet connection, license compliance, firewall and computer storage. These activities may also be considered areas of development for individuals without specific pror experience in these fields of IT.

Qualifications and experience

To succeed in this position, you will have secondary education within IT or equivalent working experience. Previous experience of IT support and project management within larger organisations is preferred. Knowledge and use in Microsoft 365 & Windows operating system is highly advantageous. Any experience with ERP systems is preferred however not required.

To succeed in this role, you are a team player with a collaborative attitude and ability to communicate and demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in a clear and structured way. You are service-minded and can easily adapt your approach according to varied user capabilities. You have a proactive approach and are prepared to act on your own initiative. You are able to build and utilize a useful network of contacts to achieve team goals and strive to adhere to rules and procedures when executing improvement plans.

 

Regular communication with both local and international suppliers and colleagues is a part of this role, therefore a high level of both oral and written English and Swedish is necessary. Fluency in additional languages is advantageous.
