Kickstart your career as an intern at the Risk and Derivative Systems Division within Handelsbanken IT, which provides the trading, compliance, risk and regulatory units with advanced and business-oriented solutions while seated on the trading floor - a dynamic environment at the core of the investment bank.

Our Teams

There are four teams responsible for the installation of Handelsbanken’s main trading and risk system Front Arena PRIME, stretching from hardware & servers to risk management, profit/loss, accounting and regulatory reporting.

The teams have separate areas of focus; Equity, Fixed Income, Loans and Platform, and work together in close cooperation towards stakeholders across the entire organization, which creates a broad variety of tasks and expertise’s.
Together with Trading, Treasury, Quant, Risk Control, Accounting and Compliance, we strive to achieve optimal technical deliveries and time to market.

Your Role

As an intern you will get a chance to be a part of all of the four teams and thereby get a unique overview of the development life cycle, from analysis and investigation to implementation, test and documentation. You will be involved in the daily operations and provide hands-on support, which requires high focus and attention to detail.

About You

• You have a master’s degree, or are close to achieving your degree, with above average academic results
• You are eager to learn about financial markets
• You have experience of object orientated programming (preferably Python/C#)
• You enjoy helping others and exchanging knowledge
• You constantly want to learn new skills and are proactive with your own development

We expect you to be adaptable, self-reliant, driven and have a desire to deliver solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations. You are an excellent team player, who takes on responsibility and have good communication skills.
