International Trainee Programme: Electrical Engineering within Technology, Project & Process

Are you looking to start your career as a trainee in a company where you’ll be surrounded by and learn from smart people who truly care about their work positively impacting the green energy transition?
Statkraft’s International Trainee Programme is a great introduction into working life. You will spend 16 months learning and developing yourself alongside other graduates, and kick start your career in renewables. The programme consists of three job rotations across the company, of which at least one will be abroad. As a trainee, you will participate in various professional development courses and gatherings to acquire new skills and share experiences. You will also become a part of our brand-new CEO-led Future Board – an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals at Statkraft who will advise and challenge our CEO on key issues and topics. For the first time ever, young professionals get a seat at the table, and will help shape our future here at Statkraft.
Electrical Engineering Trainee in Technology, Project & Process
Location: Oslo.
The Technology, Project & Process department consists of a team of cutting-edge professionals with the task of providing disciplinary expertise to support operating units in daily operations and maintenance projects, execute system support and perform analysis on a portfolio level. We are also responsible for coordination across operating units for experience exchange and synergy effects.
With us, you will be working in the exciting world of renewable energy: From helping to optimise and run advanced renewable power plants across the globe, to providing state-of-the-art solutions fit for the future.
As an Electrical Engineering Trainee in Technology, Project and Process, you will:
Contribute to and develop our global services and support function for operating units
Collaborate with a broad network of colleagues and stakeholders to drive improvement within your field of expertise
Impact the continuous development and implementation of new technical standards within the area of Electrical Engineering.
Work in an international environment with exciting opportunities for personal and professional development
About you:
We are looking for trainees with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. This includes:
Master`s degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical fields
Knowledge of technologies within hydropower, wind and solar
Interest and curiosity in the future development of the renewable energy industry
Self-driven and structured, with the ability to see both the full picture and details
Strive to drive lean process design and improvements
Fluency in English is required
