We are expanding and are looking for a new colleague to take part in the development within our business. As an Information Developer you will be responsible for customer documents such as user manuals for marine environments and develop and maintain information on our website. If you are highly motivated to work with product managers, project managers and developers and seek an opportunity to specialize and work with converting high tech to understandable text, you could be the right one for our team.

 

Key accountabilities

• Develop and maintain information for the Kongsberg Group's web pages
• Prepare technical illustrations and photographs
• Work closely with product managers, project managers and developers
• Prepare technical information with texts that are;
• short and straight to the point, addresses the reader directly, satisfies international readers, easy to translate and easy to reuse
• Prepare publications which will;
• be linked to "online help", installation, use, maintenance and sale of products
• be published in parallel on a number of interactive digital formats (PDF, CHM, EPUB, HTML, Webhelp)
• be distributed both for internal use, for specific customers and on the web
• reuse information from the CCM database as much as possible
• translated into a number of European and Asian languages
• Work in standardized tools: DITA with SDL Tridion Docs CCMS database and Oxygen XML Editor, Adobe InDesign, Adobe DreamWeaver, CorelDraw + a number of other smaller applications, but NOT in Microsoft Office

 

Qualifications and experience

• Engineering background
• Experience in writing technical documentation is an advantage
