Head of Procurement and Supply Chain

Your role:

 

As the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the company's procurement and supply chain activities. 

This includes:

• Take a strong responsibility for delivering value through procurement, increase margins and improve the company’s ability to compete
• Develop sourcing plans to meet internal customer requirements and ensure end-to-end delivery of a product or service
• Carry out analysis of procurement spend and supply base  
• Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the procurement process from developing the sourcing strategy, prequalification, sending out the request for proposal, negotiations, supplier selection and follow up including supplier assessment 
• Manage procurement and compliance risk
• Analyse the market to identify potential suppliers and market trends 
• Identify, develop and lead a team of procurement professionals
• In addition, it is expected that the Head of Procurement and Supply chain is in lead on larger and more complex purchases
• Ensure a sustainable supply chain

Your profile:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree from a leading/premier institute in relevant discipline area (Engineering, Supply chain management) or documented extensive experience in the field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Procurement experience and not less than 15 years of total work experience 
• Demonstratable and advanced negotiation skills
• Hands on experience with supply chain management software (experience with SAP and Jaggaer is an advantage) 
• Knowledge and experience of contract management for different types of agreements (Hydro, Wind, Solar)
• Enthusiastic and detail-oriented  
• Have a strong commercial mind-set
• Able to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders 
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills  
• Relevant experience from within the energy sector
• Demonstrable experience of working in an international, complex and fast paced environment  
• Proven track record of high customer satisfaction
