Your team:

 The Finance and Risk operations of Statkraft Markets Brazil is performed in Rio de Janeiro and Florianapolis. This role will be located in Rio de Janeiro.

 Your role as Head of Middle Office:

Head of Middle Office is responsible for the risk analysis, measurement and control of the activities of Statkraft’s Energy Trading Company in Brazil, monitoring compliance with the established portfolio and risk control policies including regular reports monitoring market, operational and credit risk.

 

The Middle office operations of Statkraft Markets Brazil is performed in Rio de Janeiro.

Main Activities:

• Be the leader of a highly professional team and part of highly professional management team with excellent understanding and overview of all

market activities and the corresponding risk exposures in Brazil;

• Responsible for follow up the risk management team in Brazil;

• Actively manage further development of Risk team – processes, systems, models and function;

• Conduct mandate administration for trading, origination and energy management activities;

• Responsible for credit and compliance risk assessment of potential clients by analysing financial statements and integrity information;

• Define and select the correct models to measure the financial risks accurately together with the Middle-Office team in Europe;

• Support the implementation of the growth strategy of the Trading & Origination business in Brazil;

• Coordinate the risk and feasibility assessments of new products;

• Report regularly the profit and loss and risk of different portfolios;

• Recommend risk mitigation actions.

  

Your profile:

• Postgraduate or Master in Finance, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or related areas;

◦ Solid Experience in the risk analysis area and electricity market;

◦ General interest in worldwide energy or financial markets;

◦ Analytical, structured, result oriented and with a good business understanding;

◦ Demonstrate initiative, a team player and excellent communication skills;

◦ Motivated, flexible and service oriented and comfortable with periods of high work pressure;

◦ Leadership experience building strong teams;

• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
