Heading the Continental Financial Reporting and Controlling team:

The Finance department is responsible for financial reporting, accounting and tax for Market Operations segment, performance management and investments. Statkraft is now looking for an experienced manager to develop the controlling department in Düsseldorf. The position is reporting to the VP Controlling. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in the further development of the reporting and performance management for Market Operations in the Statkraft office in Düsseldorf.

Your role:

You are heading the controlling team consisting of five employees in Düsseldorf. You have the overall responsibility for managing and developing the team as well as coordinating the team’s activities, which are: 

  • Financial reporting for the segment Market Operations including forecasts and analysis
  • Profitability analysis for the Market Operations segment including cost allocations
  • Performance management and KPI reporting
  • Finance Manager role for legal entities 

Your role also includes: 

  • Contribution and support to the business units in Market Operations and IT and build up a performance culture by setting direction and ambitious goals
  • Contribution in group improvement programs for performance management and financial reporting
  • Cooperation within Finance, the group finance function as well as finance functions in other business areas across the company

About you:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
  • Relevant work and leadership experience (more than 5 years, international exposure)
  • Industrial experience, preferably from a larger industrial and international business
  • Excellent cooperation and communication skills with the ability to build relations across the organization
  • Thriving and contributing to a highly competent and enthusiastic working environment
  • Strong and inspiring leader with the ability and the experience in leading people
  • Languages; fluent oral and written English language skill. German language preferable
