An exciting opportunity has arisen as Group Manager - Automation Solutions, in our central Manufacturing Technology department. In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team developing manufacturing processes and test systems for our Manufacturing departments, both for new and existing products. You will be managing automation development engineers and be technical responsible for our manufacturing automation and IIoT solutions. We develop solutions for our internal manufacturing in Horten and Villajoyosa (Spain). Automation and IIoT solutions for manufacturing processes are key for efficient and high-quality manufacturing.

Kongsberg is growing in Horten and will be moving into a new building, which will become an exciting center for advanced manufacturing in Norway.

 

Key accountabilities

• Technical responsibility and people management
• Manage strategy and roadmap for manufacturing automation solutions and smart manufacturing
• System design and development of automation and IIoT solutions
• Lead automation solutions projects with both internal and external resources
• Take part in product development projects. Focus on automation strategy and ‘Design for Automation’
• Manage the group’s work within development, implementation, improvement and maintenance
• Support Manufacturing and Technology departments

 

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within relevant technical area (robotics, automation, cybernetics, mechatronics or system engineering)
• Management and project management experience
• Experience with automation solutions projects
• Experience with automation, robotics, vision, IIoT and cloud technology
• Experience with product development and manufacturing
