Designers Company is the name of the company behind design company By Lassen, MENU and The Audo. MENU is a Danish design company, which sells furniture, lighting and accessories in the premium segment to professional and private customers in more than 40 countries. The headquarters are located in The Audo, which is a hybrid of a showroom, a concept store and a boutique hotel – developed by the owners of MENU. The company was founded in 1978 and has around 90 employees who cooperate with talented designers to produce quality products rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a person with passion for Corporate Social Responsibility, to oversee MENU’s policies and practices within the fields of environmental, social and governance. As a link between MENU’s commercial, operations and product teams, you hold the responsibility for the overall CSR strategy and guidance of all matters within ESG topics across the entire company. You are the internal specialist who can develop and grow the Group’s sustainability agenda, ultimately making MENU a leading interior supplier in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support MENU’s sustainability strategy development and execution
• Manage policies and goals to ensure all are up to date and aligned with broader strategy (including MENU’s CSR, CoC, Sustainability Manifesto, etc.)
• Ensure effective implementation of MENU’s sustainability roadmap and its initiatives
• Set CSR KPI definitions, track and report on projects, and constantly strive for higher impact
• Manage and validate all supplier ESG documentation such as Bill of Materials
• Oversee MENU’s ten Responsible Product Criteria
• Responsible for annual ESG assessments and follow ups
• Responsible for ISO certification procedures
• Responsible for the Environmental Management System
• Responsible for ongoing internal CSR and ESG education and guidance
• Act as the main contact for external organizations, subscriptions and advisors
• Keep updated on competitors, market compliance rules and new innovations within CSR
  
  

KEY SKILLS 

• Education within the field of CSR or ESG
• Some years of professional expertise in a leading CSR role, preferably within the furniture/consumer goods industry
• Understanding of global sustainability practices, trends and laws
• Experience building CSR policies and guidelines
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• High degree of flexibility, adaptability and communication
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
• Speaks and writes fluently in English
