DNO Norge AS is looking for an experienced Geoscientist to join our team. We are looking for someone that has the ability to interact and work effectively in a multi discipline team environment, in parallel with having the capacity to ensure excellent data quality.

The role will be placed in our office in Stavanger.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Mature and improve the company’s licence portfolio through licensing rounds and business development
• Provide technical input to prospect evaluation
• Contribute to increased regional understanding and knowledge of mature and immature plays to support DNO’s exploration strategy and input to the prospect portfolio
• Prepare opportunities for internal and external peer review/QC sessions
• Prepare Investment Proposals (IP) to DNO’s Management/Board
• Contribute as EC Member/deputy. Follow up all licence activities and assure the operator comply with approved work programme and budget. Comply with “see to duties” as licence partner
• Contribute to QA/QC processes when required
• Actively contribute to teamwork/cooperation

 

Required experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience
• Master within geology/geophysics/geoscience
• General knowledge in cross disciplinary geoscientist topics
• Relevant experience to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS)/UK Continental Shelf (UKCS)
• Knowledge of hydrocarbon prospect volume and risk assessment

• Team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi discipline team environment
• Fluent in English written and oral
