 General Manager to DFDS Logistics Karlshamn AB

DFDS Logistics Karlshamn AB operates a wide span of logistics services, everything from international road & rail transports to contract logistics. We are right now building a new office and warehouse location in Karlshamn to further support our growth in this region. We are now recruiting a General Manager to develop and manage our business and our people!

In this role you are overall responsible for all operations at the site and customer relations. You will also be a key player in the project of building up our new office and warehouse facility and making the transition a positive experience for our employees and customers. Furthermore, you are responsible for the local management team at the Karlshamn site. You will report to Per-Christian Persson, Managing Director Baltics & South Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the business both commercially and in terms of internal processes & projects
• Setting, implement and follow up on targets for the business
• Budget, prognosis and follow-up work in consultation with the MD
• Responsible for costs and revenues being in line with budgeted targets and to notify deviations immediately
• Develop the local management team as well as support and coach employees
• Customer relations

Who are you

As a person you handle social situations and relationships with different people with self-confidence. At the same time, you have a great focus and energy on achieving desired targets. In addition to strong leadership skills, you have a good ability to communicate easily and efficiently both internally and externally. Furthermore, you have the ability to act from a holistic perspective with customers, the market, the organization and its people in focus. Finally, you are a person who have a good ability to remain calm and focused in unexpected situations.

We believe you have experience from a similar position or other solid experience within the logistics industry. A requirement for the position is that you have leadership experience preferably from the logistics industry. Fluent in Swedish and English and driver’s license is also a requirement. We also believe that you have a degree in engineering/economics or equivalent experience.
