Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Financial Controller for a highly motivated, analytical and business minded Financial Controller in Kongsberg Maritime, Integrated Solution division. You will have a central role in supporting the Advanced Marine Operation business, where you also will be a part of the management team, as well as contribute to develop efficient financial processes for the whole division and business unit Offshore Production Systems (OPS).

To be successful in this role you take initiative and work independently. You like to work closely with the business and at the same time have focus on bottom-line results, identify potential risks and monitor the financial impact of own activities. If you have an interest in technology, digitalization and its application to business, you can add even more value. The ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms is also essential to the role. If you also have passion for your work and possess strong interpersonal skills, together with a positive can-do attitude, this will be a perfect match.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Responsibility of the project portfolio Advance Marine Operations, including project controlling, monthly reporting and follow up, forecasting and budgeting
  • Participate in the monthly closing process with consolidation and control activities, including preparation of monthly reports and presentation to the Business Unit’s management team
  • Be an active support to the business on financial analysis and control
  • Take part in and drive improvement projects to ensure efficient financial processes
  • Ad hoc analysis and assist Finance Manager in financial matters
  • Participate in establishing, follow-up, measure and report on KPI’s

Qualifications and experience

  • Master degree in finance or economics
  • 3-5 year of relevant experience (controlling, auditing or similar)
  • Knowledge and interest in use of Microsoft tools such as MS Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical capabilities and an interest in the use of technology to create efficient processes
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
