Due to an internal move, a new opportunity has opened for a Field Service Manager, planning and leading the daily activities for Kongsberg Martime Sweden’s Field Service Engineers across the global market. Working as Field Service Manager is a great opportunity and responsibility for a group that has grown a lot in recent years. In this role you will report to Service Operations Manager and be a part of the Kristinehamn GCS extended leadership team.

In the role as Field Service Manager, you will take an active part and a leading role in defining and realizing the setup, the processes and the tools needed for KM to improve, grow, and succeed in tomorrow’s maritime aftermarket.
In the role and through the team, you will interact and cooperate across all KM divisions and functions - building your competence, your business understanding and your network. As the Field Service Manager, you will manage and develop the team, set goals and budget. You will also be responsible for and take an active part in the operational planning and coordination of the team. You are an important link in both internal and external communication. Your goal is to understand and meet the customer's needs, but also suggest additional services that we can support.

Our team consists of 20 Service Engineers that you, together with our Service Operation Coordinators and our global network, will coordinate across different complex services and/or commissioning assignments in right time, all around the world. You are distributing and planning assignments, both in short and long term, based on service requests from our customers and internally. These assignments consist of system deliveries of different products, such as shaft line, propulsion products and control systems. For the coordination work, you also produce quotations, create service orders and schedule in our planning tool.

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for a person who have previous work experience in management, coordination and/or project management. It is a requirement that you hold a post-secondary degree, such as higher vocational education, bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably containing project management/leadership. Written and oral knowledge in English is crucial for this position, and Swedish desirable, to succeed in communication with our customers and internally. We also require that you have experience working in IT systems. Merit for the position is previous experience of leading teams in some form, as well as knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, and/or electronics.

Your personal qualities are something we will put great importance to. Since many projects are ongoing in parallel, it is important that you are customer/service oriented and able to coordinate different assignments at the same time. Your skills in communication and ability to maintain and build and develop relationships is crucial for this position. We see you as a structured person who enjoys working in well-defined processes, but also can reschedule in a self-driven, solution-oriented and agile way.
