If this sounds like you, we got an exciting opportunity as a Field ServiceEngineer in Kongsberg Maritime.   

Working as a Field Service Engineer you will perform services and maintenance on sailing ships with our equipment, as well as in-house technical support to our customers. You will do installation and commissioning of Kongsberg’s Power systems on vessels and in major shipyards around the world.

Both newly graduates from Technical College (Teknisk Fagskole) with Electricians certificate group L (Low voltage) or H (High voltage), and experienced electricians and engineers with the right background and education will be considered. 

Key accountabilities 

• Mainly Service on Kongsberg Maritime Products, low voltage switchboards, Drives and Battery solutions 
• Secondary Commissioning of new build, after sales and upgrade projects 
• Engineering and test (IAT, FAT and CAT)  
• Technical support and assistance worldwide 
• In-House technical support towards internal and external customers 
• Ready and motivated for world-wide support activities and travel  

Qualifications and experience 

• Electricians certificate group L (Low voltage) or H (High Voltage) and Technical College (Teknisk Fagskole) is a requirement 
• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or other relevant technical education is an advantage 
• Experience with automation system, drives and protection relay test equipment is an advantage 
• Field experience with maritime electrical systems 
• Meet the health requirements that apply for offshore work 
• Meet the requirements for applying for work visa world-wide 
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
