Field Service Engineer

To enhance our team, Global Customer Support seeks a Field Service Engineer to join Kongsberg Maritime in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining KONGSBERG’s sensors and systems aboard ships and in shipyards. Additionally, you will provide in-house technical support and remote services to customers and colleagues globally. Our Machinery Instrumentation and Condition Monitoring product range includes systems such as Bearing Wear Condition Monitoring, Sentry®, Meta Power Quad, K-CMS, and various sensor applications for engine and rotating equipment monitoring.


  • Install and commission Kongsberg Maritime's Machinery Instrumentation and Condition Monitoring sensors and systems.
  • Provide service and maintenance for vessels and onshore plants globally.
  • Offer technical support and on-call/remote services.
  • Contribute to product innovation, development, and sales support.
  • Manage service activities in Southeast Asia and maintain client relationships.
  • Be prepared for ad-hoc duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Automation; Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Mechanical or Electromechanical proficiency, especially with engines and rotating equipment.
  • Field experience in maritime, shipping, and/or offshore oil & gas installations is advantageous.
