Export Sales Executive - MEIA Graduate Programme

The Jotun MEIA graduate program is one important tool in meeting this challenge, as it offers a rich and fulfilling experience along with extensive training. 

Jotun MEIA region is looking for young talents, like you, for a one-year graduate program that will be integrated into a full-time permanent position. We believe your high qualification and passion can make a difference to the future development of Jotun. The Jotun MEIA graduate program will take you through a challenging and exciting journey in the organization. As a selected candidate, you will also be given specific tasks and assignments for a maximum period of 3 months outside your home location, within the MEIA region.

Jotun Paints South Africa, established in 1995, is one of the key markets within the MEIA region. With a production facility, 2 warehouses and a rapidly growing team, we aim to further strengthen Jotun’s position in South Africa through ambitious market growth plans that focus on
innovation, efficiency and profitability.

As an Export Sales Executive, you would assist and support the Export Manager in developing sales in our export territories. You would represent Jotun by selling and promoting our products and services to existing and new customers to achieve our company goals and targets.

This position is based in Cape Town and directly reports to the Export Manager.  

Duties and responsibilities
  • Plan and carry out sales activities within designated export countries to increase market share and achieve sales targets and related objectives. 
  • Develop Jotun’s position and brand awareness in new markets by regular visits to target accounts and implementation of agreed action plans to develop strong relationships and market position.
  • Achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, market trends, competitor activities and customer satisfaction in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Carry out market analysis to quantify market dimensions, competitive activity, etc. and identify key opportunities in each market. 
  • Liaise closely with all departments i.e. Logistics, Customer Service, Technical Support & Services etc. to meet customer needs and achieve targets. 
Qualifications
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing
  • You have 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • You are fluent in Portuguese (written and verbal communication)
  • You are between 23-30 years old
  • NACE qualification advantageous
