The Role… We are currently recruiting a Part Load Export Planner based in Immingham for DFDS Logistics. This position will test your abilities, providing challenges to meet timed deadlines, deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets on operational costs whilst growing our part loads business. You will ensure that all customer orders are collected and returned to the warehouse using either our own fleet, the DFDS pallet network or third-party subcontractors. Once the cargo is in Immingham you will plan the delivery combinations overseas to achieve the best results for the customer and DFDS alike.

Who we want… You will have strong inter-personal skills with a high level of written and verbal communication. You must have a flexible and adaptable mind-set that enjoys an ever changing environment. You will maintain very high levels of customer service to all clients including arranging collections, planning combinations, quoting and taking spot bookings, close communication with clients and our overseas offices to keep costs low and service levels high.

• Planning combinations of part load consignments for export to our partners overseas
• Giving spot quotations and handling bookings from clients to increase volumes and help grow the part load business
• High level of customer care at all times ensuring clients have a good experience with DFDS and we understand their needs
• Organising transport through our own fleet, the DFDS pallet network or third-party subcontractors
• Booking trailers to ship including handling documentation for hazardous shipments and customs clearances of units
• Invoicing of all consignments and updating of customer agreements where necessary
• Must have good interpersonal skills and show attention to detail in following shipments from the point of the quote being accepted until the goods delivered and job invoiced
• It is desirable that you have 1-year shipping or logistics background
