Export Control Manager

A new opportunity has arisen in the position of Export Control Manager. As Export Control Manager, you will have a wide range of tasks with your primary focus being to obtain export licenses, communicate with authorities, develop processes, and guide our organization in regulations related to export control.

This position is very valuable for the business, where the goal is to drive your work forward independently and proactively. You should be motivated by working in a site-wide support function where you collaborate with different stakeholders and functions. Keeping track of laws and regulations in the Export Control area and operationalizing this to the rest of the organization is an important part of this role.

In this role, you will work with external stakeholders, such as shipyards and navies, as well as various functions within Kongsberg Maritime. You will work side by side together with the current Export Control team to guide and support others. To be able to succeed in this role, you receive a thorough training from internal Export Control function, as well from external parties.

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who works in the field of export control or has experience from working with laws and regulations has been central in your work. If you have a technical background and/or experience in project and process management, we see this as a positive. You will have university or college education in a relevant area such as Law, Project Management or other education and work experience that we consider equivalent.

In our global organization and communication with authorities’ high level of English and Swedish, both written and spoken, are important. Communication skills in other languages are considered an advantage.

As a person, you are meticulous, communicative and self-motivated. You are good at meeting people, working systematically and are curious to learn and develop in your work. As you will be acting as a support function, it is important that you enjoy working with other people. You are a person who wants to take your own initiatives and are driven by problem solving and overcoming challenges.

As our Export Control Manager works with classified data and materials, security clearance and export control are both required for this position. Swedish citizenship is required or alternatively,  currently living in Sweden with residency for a minimum of 5 years.
