Environment and Permits Specialist

Your paper:

You will be in Santiago, Chile, and will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and implementing environmental processes and policies, in the execution and development of works and projects belonging to the company. Part of its main functions will be:

• Review and improve, if necessary, the existing Permit Plan for the various active hydroelectric and wind projects. You must schedule all the actions and activities necessary to successfully obtain all permits for the construction phases, avoiding and / or managing risks involved in each situation.
• Lead the licenses through coordination and participation in constant meetings with personnel in charge of the various projects (hydroelectric, wind and solar), local authorities, external consultants and lawyers.
• Promote the preparation of technical and legal files that will be directed to the authorities to obtain licenses and / or permits.
• Ensure the obtaining of technical information required by the different authorities, in order to obtain environmental licenses.
• Manage various contracts with consultants, lawyers, and other suppliers that collaborate for the environmental area.
• Solve doubts and comments of all the professionals involved in the generation of files, together with all the requirements of the environmental authorities that participate in each license.
• Support Due Dilligence processes.
• You must provide advice to the area of ​​projects in Santiago and in different regions nationwide, where it is required to obtain any license related to the projects.
• Generate weekly, monthly reports required by each Project Manager.
• Organize and lead periodic meetings.

 

Your profile:

• University degree in Environmental Engineer, Forest Engineer, Civil Engineer, Natural Resources Engineer or similar.
• Minimum experience of 4 years in Environmental Permit Management, Environmental Impact Assessment and relationship with environmental authorities, direct relationship with communities and directly responsible for obtaining permits for Energy projects, preferably renewable energy plants.
• Desirable management and knowledge in AutoCAD Software and Arcview.
• Reliable team player, with excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
•  Be a critical counterpart of services delivered by external consultants.
•  A solid understanding of the commercial, environmental, regulatory challenges facing all stages of project development.
