An exciting opportunity has arisen as ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS DESIGNER (m/f), reporting to Head of Department Electrical Systems at Navis Consult, a KONGSBERG Company.

Within the KONGSBERG Group, Navis Consult stands out as a European centre for engineering services, while in the global shipbuilding market it acts independently and operates with a large number of shipyards around the world.

 

Key accountabilities: 

• Independent and responsible in performing tasks related to ship electrical systems design documentation, according to Company’s quality management system and in line with valid regulations, standards and specifications/procedures
• Performing complex engineering tasks and supervision of project engineers’ performance
• Progress reporting – task status, risks and possible issues
• Other tasks as per request of the supervisor or by project requirements

 

Qualifications and experience:

• MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering
• Competence in AutoCAD and standard computer programs (MS Office and similar)
• Good command of English language, both written and oral
• Preferably 5 years of experience in similar field
