DNB Markets Graduate 2021 - Equities, FICC and IBD

Finansiering

DNB Markets is Norway’s leading investment bank with a global footprint and number 1 positions in most of the products that we provide.

We serve clients with a range of financial services and products. We are involved in key strategic and financial decisions and transactions of our clients, including mergers and acquisitions, raising capital with equity and debt and strategic advisory. We analyse financial risk tied to currency, interest rate and commodity exposure, and strive to come up with the best way to mitigate those risks. We have market leading analysts that provide our clients with insight into equities, credit, macro and commodities. We help clients with carrying out trades in the global capital markets.

We are looking for candidates to join our full-time Graduate Programme in one of three business divisions with start date in August 2021. For candidates starting in Investment Banking Division, we are offering start dates from January 2021.

Markets Graduate Programme in one of three divisions

In our Markets Graduate Programme you will get the opportunity to contribute, learn and grow into a role in one of the three business divisions in DNB Markets:

  • Equity Sales and Research
  • Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (“FICC”)
  • Investment Banking Division (M&A, ECM and DCM) (“IBD”)

You will either apply for a position in one of the three divisions specifically or if you are uncertain and want to explore and learn finance you can apply as Markets Graduate without specifying a division.

The programme begins with two weeks of intensive training to give all candidates a broad understanding of the products and services offered across DNB Markets. The course begins with a bootcamp in Excel and modelling. It then covers financial markets, risk management and products typical for our FICC teams and Equity sales teams before it dives into Corporate Finance and the tools of the trade of our IBD and Equity Research teams.

After the training the candidate will be placed directly into a team with on-the-job training and real challenges from day one. The graduate journey will be tailored to the specific candidate and the division’s need at the start of the program. You will also be given the opportunity to rotate in the division you are starting in order to build a full understanding of various products offered to clients and get to build a network across the organisation.

As a graduate in Markets you will be part of the DNB Group graduate programme and get the opportunity to increase your network in DNB, expand your skills and socialise with other graduates. This includes introduction days, knowledge sharing sessions, off-site activities, seminars and social events. You will have the support of a mentor outside your division with whom you can reflect on learnings, career ambitions and discuss challenges.

  • Research and analysis of companies, industries and macro
  • Preparation of models, valuations and pitch decks
