As Divisional Projects Manager (DPM) your role will be to support Elkem Carbon Solutions need for continuous and step-change improvements to provide a safe working environment, secure our competitive position and support further growth. You will support, develop and align our companies project management competence by ensuring full use of the Project Management systems and tools. This will be done through interaction with the project team within Elkem to improve knowledge and competence within the plants. The DPM will manage and control the projects portfolio to ensure full traceability of progress of projects in the Division. The DPM will manage various divisional projects that are being implemented across all plants. These projects may be technology, IT or process related.

Areas of responsibility:

• Plan and execute project Assessments according to project management procedure
• Guidance and leadership to all Plant Improvement resources
• Work with plant resources to ensure that quality standards are in place for all projects
• Keep EHS as the highest priority in all work we do, both in and off work, administrative and on-site activities
• Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
• Coordinate global project activities and good communication to ensure sharing of knowledge and best practice
• Support Division to develop a yearly plan on current and future projects
• Coordinate and Cooperate with plant Project resources to set up discussions, plan training, plan project update meetings

Qualifications required for the position:

• Tertiary education
• Knowledge and experience of Project Management, and applying Project Management methodology and tools
• Technical knowledge of Operations, process control and improvement
• Good communication, teaching skills and experience from problem solving by coaching and motivating individuals
• Fluency in English

Some travelling must be expected.
