Kongsberg Gruppen

DevOps Engineer

Holdingselskaper

WHY

Are you passionate about ground-breaking technologies and the future of our oceans? Less than 20 per cent of the world ocean's seafloor has been mapped. We need more knowledge about the seafloor to be able to utilize the resources of the oceans in a sustainable manner. KONGSBERG has committed to the global initiative to produce a complete map of the seafloor by 2030. We are also involved in many other important initiatives. Do you want to join us on our mission to unlock the power of the oceans? If so, we would very much like to talk to you.

HOW

You can be a part of this mission as a DevOps Engineer in our highly competent team of engineers that work with a multitude of different systems that monitor and map the seafloor and sediments below. Advanced multibeam echosounder technologies and positioning systems are used for mapping, making it possible to generate high resolution seabed imagery, giving detail way beyond what has been obtained before. Our underwater acoustic systems are used for positioning, mapping, finding ship- and air wrecks and discovering other objects on the seafloor or below seafloor. We look for a new team member who can, together with us, develop and build the next generation multibeam and positioning systems for the global market.

WHAT

In this position, you are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining our Azure DevOps based automated build and test system, making sure that we are always ready to integrate new features and deploy updated versions of our applications. You will collaborate closely with our expert team of developers, to improve the way we manage our source code, packages, and artifacts. You will also participate in DevOps and general SW coordinating activities across the Underwater Acoustics business unit in the Sensors & Robotics division.

We offer you an opportunity to work closely together with the best multibeam specialists in the world. You will be part of an inspiring and safe work-environment and have the possibility to make a difference for mapping the seafloor and contributing to a sustainable future of the oceans.

We offer personal and professional development in a high competence environment.
In addition, we offer flexible work hours, the possibility to work from home office and a good pension and insurance scheme.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Experience with automated build and test systems
  • Good development and analytical skills
  • Development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, MSBuild, Azure DevOps Server or similar
  • Experience with Development/scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash etc

  • Experience with agile development
  • Good written and oral Norwegian and English communication skills

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority.
