Development Communications Intern

Your department:

The Development Communications Team work alongside Development Project Managers to ensure projects are clearly and consistently communicated to local residents, the media, elected representatives and other community stakeholders.

Your role:

A three to six month internship reporting to the Community Liaison Officer, you will have exposure to communicating onshore wind, solar and grid stability projects.

Duties include:

  • Help managing PR & Communications to ensure regular, topical, engaging activity
  • Help copywriting – articles for magazines, websites, press releases, case studies & advertisements
  • Case Study generation – help find opportunities to showcase our company
  • Digital communications including photo, video, and infographics
  • Help with organising exhibitions in local communities near our projects
  • Potential UK travel

About you: Ideal candidate is currently a student in journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing and is on target for or has achieved a 2:1 or above. The ideal candidate  has, by the start of the employment, permission to work in the UK. Ideally you are excited by explaining complex ideas in simple digestible ways, are comfortable learning about technical concepts and have an interest in Renewables/Sustainability issues.  English language fluency is essential.
