As a Deputy Domain Architect for Payments, you are part of shaping and driving SEB’s strategic agenda and one of our most important architectural transformations.

About the job
The area of Cash Management is undergoing a major transformation from a business and market as well as from an architectural perspective. As a consequence of the changes in the market and customer expectations, we are building a new payment platform based on modern technologies

As a Deputy Domain Architect, your responsibility will be part of setting, continuously improve and implement the target architecture in line with the business objectives. This is a senior position and you will be working close to our Domain Architect and be a part of our tribe management team, Pay and Get Paid, that are focusing on the Payment area.
 Significant focus is spent on interacting with business representatives to truly understand needs, anchor ideas and shape workable solutions. Part of your responsibility is also to be an active part of the SEB architect community including other Domain Architects and Enterprise Architects to both align to and help shaping the bank’s architectural principles, targets and roadmaps. Furthermore, you will guide and support development and delivery teams both on a strategic and operative level.

You will cooperate with everything from Business and Operations to IT infrastructure, developers and other architects within SEB and support the development of a core component in one of SEBs most important IT investments ever. The end goal is to ensure that we have the most stable, modern and maintainable platform when we are done.

You will belong to an Architecture and Shared Services team and report to the team manager for that team and have a dotted line to the Domain Architect for Accounts & Payments.

Your profile
To succeed in this role, you have previous experience from working with modern architecture, preferably at a portfolio level, where you have proved an ability to manage, lead and inspire others to reach architectural objectives and solution concepts. It would also be a clear advantage if you have experience from the cash management area and especially Payments. You are experienced in stakeholder management and possess clear cooperation skills, but still maintaining a strong hands-on drive and a goal-oriented approach. You have well-developed oral and written communication skills where you easily understand and interact with both business and IT. You can combine a pragmatic approach with a creative and innovative mindset to find solutions to business challenges. Any certifications or architecture methodologies experience is a plus but not a requirement.

You are well founded in the IT-area and your proposals are based on a solid understanding of existing IT solutions considering possibilities of new technology. APIs, microservices, container platforms, big data solutions and event driven architecture are concepts you are well aware of. You assume personal accountability for creating and delivering high-value results

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science, electrical engineering, applied physics or similar is a benefit but not a necessity. Equally important as any formal training or education is that you have a passion for architecture and the financial industry with a strong interest in keeping you updated on the relevant trends in the industry and technology.
