Dealer Manager

Jotun Paints South Africa was established in 1997 and employees 75 employees, its head office and production facility is located in Cape Town and we have are branches located in Durban and Johannesburg, and distribution expansion into Southern Africa, namely Namibia, Angola and Mozambique. Jotun South Africa operates in 2 segments namely, Marine and Protective Coatings.

For the position of Dealer Manager, we are currently looking for an individual who has excellent leadership, selling and negotiating skills coupled with a strong will to succeed in a highly competitive market. The holder of this position will play a crucial role in accelerating the growth in dealer network. You will be based in Cape Town, reporting to the Protective Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

Manage, maintain and develop the stipulated key account/s
Identify and develop key Dealers and promote Jotun Protective Coatings to these in allocated geographical territories through focused strategy and market awareness.
Be aware of key Projects in Dealer territories and provide necessary support and direct involvement when necessary.
Promote Jotun paint to Engineering Procurement Consultants, Consultants and other Specifiers in Dealer territories to assist with Market penetration with assistance from Local Specification Management / International Specification Management team.
Co-ordinate with Technical Sales Support Manager to improve technical knowledge and product selection awareness and ensure adequate training is provided for Dealers.
Promote and Co-ordinate focused Marketing programs for Dealers.
Analyse and Manage Dealer Performance with regular feedback and business reviews.
Bachelor ‘s degree in Sales and Marketing
5-9 years of relevant experience in similar position
Technical background / knowledge advantageous
NACE Certificate advantageous
Advanced PC Literacy skills
Ability to lead and manage diverse teams
Ability to communicate on all levels
Good command of verbal and written English and Afrikaans languages
