Our Team
We are on a mission to make Handelsbanken a leader in using advanced analytics and AI to deliver superior products, service and experience to our customers. This involves applying statistics, machine learning and other technologies in a wide range of areas such as content personalization, product development and business strategy.

We work with other teams throughout the bank in an environment characterized by initiative, collaboration and innovation to tackle business challenges by predicting outcomes, understanding complex data relationships and constructing models that contribute to a better experience for our customers.

About the Internship
As an intern you will have a dedicated supervisor who has taught or supervised students before, in addition to possessing domain knowledge in the field of data science. To ensure that the internship is as mutually beneficial as possible, we are looking for candidates that can work 8 hours or more per week on average during semesters (with flexibility for weeks with high academic workload) and at least 8 weeks full time during the summer.

We will encourage, and facilitate, you to build on your academic competencies to get invaluable industry knowledge in regards to data-driven development.

Your Role
You will be working on a project within the scope of the group and your project will be matched to your individual skills and interests. We use advanced analytics and AI models to price products, evaluate credit applications, optimize marketing, understand customer behavior, and deliver actionable insights. We offer a range of different possibilities within our domain.

Your Profile

• Third- or fourth-year student pursuing a master’s degree or a 5-year engineering degree in a technical field
• Programming experience, preferably in Python and/or SQL
• Great learning potential, we do not expect you to know everything
• Independent worker and critical thinker
• You are fluent in either Swedish or English, including written form

Blasieholmstorg, Stockholm. Flexibility to work from home part-time.
