Job Summary: 

DNO Kurdistan is committed to providing a Covid-19 free workplace by managing the risk of Covid-19 to an ALARP (As Low As is Reasonably Practicable) level. DNOs current strategy is to prevent the coronavirus from entering the workplace by managing quarantine before coming to work, and further containing the spread of the virus once DNO workers are on site. The Covid-19 Coordinator role is the key position in the organization to implement this strategy and manage the coordination of crew changes to promote a Covid-free workplace. This role will manage the quarantine activities required under DNOs Covid Procedures,

The Covid-19 Coordinator role is responsible for the implementation and execution of DNO Kurdistan’s Covid-19 Management procedures. 

Key responsibilities:

Support, Management, and Oversight

  • Accountable for managing Local National and Expat DNO quarantine activities, including quarantine camp project management, hotel quarantine activities, quarantine testing activities, testing results review and communication with DNO Medics, Local National inquiry resolution, and coordination of work with support staff.   
  • Supports DNO Kurdistan with the management of Covid-19 Quarantine and Control Measures as outlined in the DNO Covid-19 Management Procedures. Coordinates quarantine plans in local hotels, including the facilitation of hotel bookings, hotel administration communications and alignment with DNO Covid-19 Management procedures, verification of conformance with procedures, guard / floor monitor transportation coordination, management of positive cases, liaisons with DNO Medical team, Travel Team, Security Team, HSE Team, Leadership Team, and MovCon.
  • Manages Covid-19 testing and the communication and management of results.
  • Oversees contractor adherence to DNO Covid-19 Management Procedures

Oversees DNO camp and site adherence to Covid Management Procedures

Delivering Compliance

  • Takes accountability with the BU HSE Manager and field management team for the successful on-site implementation and promotion of DNO Covid-19 policies and procedures.
  • Works with Site leadership and Erbil to roll out and implement DNO Covid-19 policies and procedures.

Works with field management team and HSE in Erbil to deliver a documented field-based Covid-19 Procedure audit and review program in addition to informal hotel, contractor, site inspections and walk arounds.

Building organizational capability

  • Responsible for communicating gaps in implementation to Site Leadership and Sr. Management to identify when capability gaps are inhibiting the execution of the Covid-19 Management procedures
  • Works closely with DNO Local National support team to execute DNO Covid-19 Management Strategy

Accurate and honest reporting

  • Ensures accurate and on-time reporting of all incidents to Field Manager and to Erbil through agreed mechanisms and tools.

Execution of DNO Covid-19 Strategy

  • Deliver the DNO Covid-19 strategy
  • Implement and monitor the effectiveness of the DNO Covid-19 Procedures

Elevate and advise the Sr. Leadership team on program gaps and support needs

Contractor Management

  • Manage contractor adherence to DNO Covid-19 Management Procedures.
  • Communicate updates to contractors as policy and need dictates

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate with a technically relevant degree or industry equivalent such as NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Occupational Safety and Health University Certificate (Expert Designation)

Minimum Experience:

  • 15 years in oil and gas and/or petrochemical industry, with international experience
  • 10 years in a Superintendent level Leadership Role with onshore field projects, operations and development focus
  • At least 10 years in production operations onshore preferably in an H2S environment.
