Country Manager Greece / Sales Manager (new sales & aftermarket sales) for Greece

Kongsberg Maritime Greece SA is representing Kongsberg Maritime’s business units and product lines in the Greek and the Cyprus Shipping Market.

 

We are searching for a talented Country Manager/ Sales Manager to lead our activity in Greece. The role will be a combined role, leading new sales and aftermarket sales in Greece as well as being the country manager, overseeing the legal and statutory side of the legal entity of Kongsberg Maritime in Greece.

 

Main task Country Manager

  • Manage the company according to budgets, governing policies/directives including     KONGSBERG Code of Ethics and Business Conduct as well as local laws and regulations;

  • Establish and execute the country strategies in alignment with overall company strategies

  • Lead, direct and control key activities to achieve short and long-term financial and operating objectives in alignment with key stakeholders. 

  • Optimization of functional activities, ensuring efficient cross-functional and divisional prioritization and develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans.

  • Support development of the right competence, capability and cost base for the country,

  • Be a role model for KONGSBERG values and behaviors.

  • Manage the country leadership team including all disciplines in a structured governance model.

  • Maintain close collaboration with Kongsberg Maritime functions to ensure global operational efficiency and “healthy” business for Kongsberg Maritime.

Main Tasks Sales Manager:

  • Own customer relation responsibility (KAM list) and distributes KAM responsibility

  • Lead in identifying and nurturing local new sales and aftermarket sales leads, through proactive customer development

  • Build a strong Kongsberg Maritime sales organization in the region supporting all P&L divisions and vessel segments, with focus on product sales and integrated solutions as well as maximizing aftermarket sales

  • Have budget responsibility in the region, responsible for driving sales of all Kongsberg Maritime products in the region

  • Do sales and "Flag-work" in home market/region

  • Manage quotation and sales work for Cat-1 and Cat-2 projects

  • Manage and lead sales team and ensure appropriate sales capabilities are in place

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven sales track record and experience from Maritime sector

  • Proven track record in delivering business results in both favorable and unfavorable conditions

  • Market and business oriented

  • Experience with/knowledge of local laws and regulations

  • Global outlook and appreciation of different cultures

  • Breadth of cross functional experience

  • Relevant, higher education

  • 5-10 years’ experience within senior management positions

  • Knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime´s product and systems portfolio

  • Highly collaborative, experienced in working in complex matrix organization structures

  • Excellent cooperative, communication and networking skills

  • Very good communication skills in English, both written and oral.

  • Willing to travel internationally.
