As our Corporate Health and Hygiene Specialist, you will have a key role in Elkem's drive to improve the health of all our employees. You will be part of the Corporate HSE team and support our divisions to achieve Health improvement goals, especially related to working environment, physical health and psychological health.

We are looking for a person that can:

• Rollout and establish our new HSE management system within the Health environment.
• Establish and revise corporate standards regarding working exposures and risk management.
• Establish standards for Health surveillance of our employees globally.
• Follow, understand, and influence Regulatory framework related to Elkem's business interests on a global basis.
• Establish Key performance indicators for monitoring at a corporate level the performance of our health programs, as well as raising issues that could influence the company negatively.
• Facilitate and coordinate risk management processes, training and other activities in collaboration with our global organization to ensure that the Health related goals of Elkem are achieved as per schedule.

The desired qualifications for the role should be:

• Educational qualifications at equivalent of bachelor's or master's degree
• Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, and speak)
• Knowledge of Health, hygiene and toxicology requirements in large industrial processes

We are looking for an individual with an independent and proactive approach to help improve the health of our employees. The ideal candidate should have the ability to influence, coach and cooperate with people of multicultural backgrounds. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing training and training methods as well as coordinating and controlling meetings. Additionally, you should have the ability to set up strategies and plans for improvement activities.

The successful applicant will need to be able to travel intermittently on a global basis. The work location is flexible but preferred in Kristiansand or Oslo.

The position reports to Vice President Health Safety Environment.
