Handelsbanken DCM is Handelsbanken's department with overall responsibility for supporting and advising the Bank’s branch offices and their customers on large and/or tailored financing solutions including corporate loans, corporate bonds, acquisition finance, real estate finance and sustainable finance. The department consists of approximately 50 employees in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the United Kingdom.

What you will be doing
We are looking for a new team member to our Stockholm corporate loans origination team. As a corporate loan originator you will in collaboration with the relationship managers at the branch offices cover selected corporate clients and prospects.

You will be responsible for pro-active idea-generation, structuring, pitching, arranging, and executing a variety of loan transactions, including bilateral/club bank loans, corporate acquisition- and IPO financings as well as other types of complex debt transactions. You will together with the sustainability team act as a strategic advisor regarding green and sustainable lending products.

You will be expected to take the lead in commercial negotiations and together with our in-house lawyers lead the legal documentation negotiations.

Your work will include

• Project lead, coordinate and execute complex debt financings
• Proactively propose tailor made financing solutions
• Constantly be updated on product development within the debt area and market trends
• Generate and follow up on transaction leads and potential business opportunities
• Analysing and advising clients on capital structures from a credit risk- and market perspectives

Who are we looking for
The successful applicant should have an number of years’ experience from debt investment banking or as a banking client executive for larger corporate clients, possess a high analytical capacity and excellent communication skills in Swedish and English and a strong academic track record. You should be able to perform well under pressure within tight deadlines and be a true team player, but also being able to take initiative and work independently. You should have a strong interest in the financial markets and business.
