We are accepting online applications for Corporate Accountant position for Höegh LNG Services ROHQ located in Makati City.

Job Description

Monthly, quarterly and annual financial close

  • Responsibility for all accounting entries required for assigned entities. This includes treatment of vendor and customer invoices, bank transactions, accruals, depreciation, amortization, BS reclassifications, currency revaluations, IFRS15 entries, hedge accounting (IFRS9) entries etc.
  • Prepare related party invoices (recharging of costs internally according to agreements)
  • Intercompany interest calculation and bookkeeping
  • Prepare payments
  • Upload/file documents to designated folders on the sever (i.e. sharepoint, w:\\felles\)
  • Reconciliations end each reporting period (preparation of BSR’s (balance sheet reconciliations)
  • Ensure proper classification, use of Chart of Accounts and dimensions for the entries
  • Maintain and improve financial reporting and closing routines for the company by working closely with Group Accounting and controlling in Oslo on internal processes, accounting - and internal control issues
  • Monthly cash-flow reporting, YTD and rolling forward forecasting
  • Liaise with Group accounting and Controlling on the completion of company budgets and regular updates to forecasting
  • Responsible for preparing quarterly and annual statutory financials for assigned entities in accordance with IFRS and debt covenant requirements
  • Provide deviation analysis of YTD numbers versus budget (FYF versus annual budget)
  • Monthly cash-flow reporting, YTD and rolling forward forecasting 

Bank, cash, loans and payments

  • Follow up and reconcile loan facilities with commitments fee, interest, instalments payments
  • Ensure application of funds to cash account structure required by loan agreements
  • Ensure that outgoing payments are prepared and final approved and registered as paid in the ERP system
  • Ensure that customers pay on a time

Internal control Compliance, Audits and routine descriptions

  • Complete Internal controls according to guidelines in internal control regime
  • Assist external auditor with providing the requirements for group and statutory reporting
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a Certified public accountant
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience with handling monthly, quarterly or annual closing processes
  • Understanding and experience with IFRS/local GAAP  
  • Prior auditing experience with international clients is beneficial but not required
  • Knowledge of internal controls
  • Knowledge of financial reporting requirements
  • Solid computer skills including working with general ledger systems
  • Solid Excel skills
