Our Integrated Solutions Division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Automation, Bridge Systems and Electro products and solutions. Since the development of the first Dynamic Positioning system in the 1970's, Kongsberg Maritime has always been in the forefront of developing leading Automation and Bridge Systems, and the Integrated Solutions division is responsible for maintaining and further developing that substantial legacy.

To further strengthen our world-leading professional community within applied maritime cybernetics we are currently looking for ambitious and talented cybernetics professionals to join our team.

Key accountabilities 

• We are the world leader within Professional Positioning with over 4000 DP systems delivered. You will be contributing to developing new solutions for remote control, guidance and control of mission equipment, enhancing mission critical operations, energy optimization, and bringing to market our next generation dynamic positioning system.

•  We are also developing control systems for low-manned / unmanned ships, and we hold the world’s first contracts for commercial delivery of autonomous vessels. You will be contributing to a number of development activities and delivery projects with a focus on integrated sensor technology, automated transit and docking, and collision avoidance.

 

Qualifications and experience

• Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and written
• Engineering doctor’s/master’s degree in cybernetics, marine cybernetics or equivalent with emphasis on nonlinear and/or predictive control methods
• Competence, interest and experience with marine surface applications of cybernetics
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ programming
