Continuous Improvement Manager

For the new global Terminal organization we are looking for an enthusiastic Continuous Improvement Manager to drive standardization and optimization across our terminals through a global CI Program.

In this role you will drive a continuous improvement mind-set across our terminal organization. Designing a toolbox based on Lean Six Sigma for the DFDS terminals to drive improvement and standardization. You will deep dive into terminal processes to identify best practices and waste, then redesigning those processes whilst standardizing the way we work across DFDS to prepare the terminals for further digitalization.

The role is a unique opportunity to be a part of building up the new terminal organization and driving change.

• Establish Terminal Excellence as a program and give it hand and feet;
• Embed the continuous improvement mind-set in our business;
• Develop the right skills and structure in our business for CI;
• Set up and manage CI projects at our terminals;
• Map, optimize and digitalize operational processes;
• Create business cases and measure impact;
• Work together with stakeholders in our Copenhagen HQ and in local terminal organizations;
• Move the program into business as usual and make CI the way we work.
• Build CI capabilities in the DFDS organization;
• Drive change in the way of working.

 About you

 The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:     

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt;
• High energy;
• Change agent;
• Experience in terminals;
• Data driven;
• Excellent communication skills.

In this role you will manage large projects across all DFDS terminals. You will work together closely with stakeholders at our headquarters and in our terminals and you will be part of the new Terminal organization – a small organization that is working from different locations. The role is based in Copenhagen or Vlaardingen, frequent travel is expected. You will report to the Head of Terminal.
