We are looking for a strong, experienced communications manager to provide communications support to our Country Manager and Business areas active in Spain.  This includes coordinating all communications work in the country and line managing our Marketing Executive.  Based in our office in Valencia or Madrid

You will develop an integrated communications and marketing strategy and plan for the Spanish market identifying audiences, key messages and activities that support the business.

You will grow and then maintain Statkraft’s brand in the country, through local and national media channels, events and marketing.

 

The key areas of responsibility for our Commmunications Manager in Spain are:

• Build and maintain Statkraft’s brand in the country, through local and national media channels, events and marketing
• Report into Statkraft’s central communications and marketing teams on country specific activity
• Plan and execute communication activities on project development, construction and operation, in close cooperation with project management teams and public affairs
• Plan and execute marketing activities, lead generation and events
• Media relations management – pitching to media, dealing with queries and drafting of press materials such as press releases and briefing notes
• Manage the country-specific social media accounts, liaise with the corporate team on the Statkraft social media accounts
• Manage and update the country-specific website, and project websites as required
• Identify content such as video, imagery and stories for use on internal and external channels
• Draft other communications materials such as brochures, articles, presentations and scripts
• Liaise with external agencies for communications support as needed
• Provide internal communications support to the country team
• Monitor the relevant Workplace channels for your market, ensuring visibility and representation across the business area
• Be the single point of contact for all communications queries in your country market

If you have the following skills and experience we would like to hear from you:

• Proven track record in communications and marketing
• Fluent in English
• Deep experience in marketing and running a marketing team.
• Proven track record in marketing campaigns and digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
• Familiarity with trends in market and marketing, able to adapt rapidly to these and lead change
• Proven ability to manage budgets
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Professional and proactive
• High competence in project and stakeholder management with collaborative approach
• Experience working for an international company
• Line management experience desirable
• Commercially focused with a clear understanding of the impact of decisions on profitability and value
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
