The business area Markets & IT (M) has more than 700 people spread across Europe, South America and Asia. More than 30 different nationalities make up our teams working in 16 countries.

International Markets (MG) is part of the Business Area Markets & IT, we are in Brazil, Chile, Peru and India. Our goal is to maximize the commercial value of Statkraft’s asset base in these markets and contribute to further growth as well develop profitable activities within trading and origination.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a

Commercial Business Development Manager (VP) International Market Operations

Your role:

In this position you will report directly to the SVP International Market and be part of a global leadership team. You will be responsible for developing and creating business opportunities to support Statkraft’s asset activities in Brazil, Peru, Chile and India. The role will be based in Oslo or Dusseldorf - other locations can be considered.

With a strong commercial focus, you will take part in projects and lead complex commercial deal structures and concepts for these countries. You will establish and maintain an efficient interface with the market teams in the countries and close cooperation with other parts of the company, in particular in the business area International Power.

You will strongly contribute to our profitability and further growth by developing our Route-to-Market activities outside Europe.

Your profile:

• Higher relevant education – business degree and/or technical (Master level)
• 5-10 years relevant experience
• Commercial mindset and strong analytical skills
• Energy market knowledge and understanding of global issues and trends
• Ability to build strong relations across the organization
• Enjoy working in an international environment and high willingness to travel (up to 40%)
• Excellent command of the English language. Portuguese and/or Spanish an advantage
