Do you enjoy helping drivers to become the best they can be? If so, we are looking for a dynamic, highly capable and self-motivated Driver/ Trainer, for DFDS Logistics based in Belfast. The Driver Trainer will be responsible for providing continued support to employee drivers and new interview assessments, inductions (own and agency), monitoring weekly/monthly driver performance using telematics to improve our overall driver score and training/familiarisation on new equipment & refreshers.  The candidate will work closely with the Transport Team and will resume their normal driving role on days where no training is required.  We will consider colleagues who may not yet have training experience but who would be interested in this as a development opportunity. We will be providing training to the successful candidate.

 

Responsibilities…

• Carry out pre-employment driving assessments
• Carry out inductions of agency drivers and new employees
• Provide additional training for drivers when required
• Provide support with accident investigation and reassessment/ retraining of drivers
• Review results from driver telematics and work with the drivers to deliver improvements
• Support the Management team with development and review of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
• to work closely within a small team to achieve and maintain a high level of service to all our customers.

All you need is:

• Full HGV Class 1 Licence
• Valid DIGI Card
• Valid CPC Card
• Good English verbal and written skills
• Excellent customer service skills
