Then you might be the Buyer/Product Developer we are looking for to join our team in an innovative work environment expanding our business portfolio with a new concept within Varner, that consist of six separate brands, Bik Bok, Carlings, Cubus, Dressmann, Junkyard and Volt.  

You will have a strong focus on cost efficient product development, creating great products with perfect fit. You will secure price, volume, daily dialog with suppliers and close collaboration with Buying Manager and Varners Global Production offices to secure price, volume and production. A big part of your daily work will be Creating DNA and visual design expressions within strategic directions. You will be making plans for what products should be in focus, which categories can be stronger and where the market has best potential for sustainable business.  

Being part of a small team, developing and growing, you will be involved in daily operational tasks and working with the full development process, from planning stage, projecting volume, development of product to discussion of price and order making. 

We see that you are a driven, entrepreneurial with professionalism of planning both with short and long-time horizontal goals predicting upcoming challenges with prepared solutions. You are a self-motivated, relationship building team player that prefers to involve the group of expertise to take us to the next level. 

Qualifications: 

• Experience (5+years) from textile industry within product development. 

• Broad knowledge of textiles and materials 

• Creative researcher with great understanding of quality and commercial value 

• Being proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and the office package  

• Good knowledge of construction and measurement 

• Relevant design/textile degree is valued 

• Good English and Norwegian/Swedish communication skills 

Personal skills: 

• Self-driven and having the entrepreneurial spirit  

• Result orientated with good commercial and analytical instinct 

• Have the ability to work in teams 

• Being creative and having the ability to understand the brand's vision and direction 

• Have a strong work capacity, being able to work in a fast-paced environment
