Business Intelligence Analyst


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Supply Chain team as Business Intelligence Analyst. In this role you will also take lead on improvement projects across the Kongsberg Maritime (KM) business. Through Power BI reporting and various analysis, you shall enable understanding and good decision making.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintaining of existing KPIs, reports and tools
  • Development of new dashboards in Power BI
  • Working with stakeholders / customers to develop data requests into powerful reporting
  • Development of advance business models to support any changes within the organization
  • Providing continuous improvement to current processes within the team
  • Providing reports, data models, dashboards, to the wider KM organization utilizing a variety of data sources
  • Data owner & subject matter expert for Project Management Office in P&E

 Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (statistic or management would be preferred)
  • At least 3-years experience as Data Analyst or similar data processing function
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VBA
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Experience of working with:
    - SQL and / or IBM Cognos,
    - BI software (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
    - ERP systems (Infor, SAP, Microsoft AX)
  • Good knowledge of SharePoint, Power Automate CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience in leading projects or working in a project team with the ability to demonstrate to importance of working within project managed timescales and governance
  • Experience of Lean and continuous improvement
  • An excellent ability to analyze and understand business requirements and ability to turn them into real solutions
  • Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
  • Effective and creative problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work with complex numbers and spreadsheets
  • Ability to act quickly within short time frames
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of the Project Management standards and methods preferred
