POSITION SUMMARY:

Our family of AUV's, including the HUGIN vehicles, offer the ultimate in autonomous remote subsea survey capability. These free-swimming autonomous underwater vehicles are characterized by great maneuverability and high accuracy of stabilization. Hydrodynamic shape, accurate instruments, and excellent battery capacity make these AUV's ideal choices for commercial and defense applications.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical support on Subsea and AUV systems
  • General support activities and technical assistance to customers
  • Service trips to vessels for both Subsea and AUV systems
  • AUV post mission analysis and evaluation
  • AUV mission planning and sea trials
  • In house service of Subsea and AUV systems for both rental and customer requests
  • Commissioning work on new builds and refits with Project Engineers and Project Managers
  • Technical assistance to sales, marketing, and aftermarket sales
  • Follow up with appropriate technical lead after service jobs
  • Develop qualifications by participating in internal and external courses
  • Maintain certifications through yearly online certification tests
  • Report problems and suggest improvements using KD quality tools as quality control responsible
  • Provides customer support and training for new and existing customers both in house and in the field
  • Documents test results with appropriate information in a complete manner and communicate to all required
  • Reads and interprets specific test procedures to properly perform and document test results
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with product quality standards
  • Work in the field unsupervised

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or general education degree; or four years of equivalent experience in AUV operations and service. Associates or BS degree in related field is desired
  • Be customer oriented, "service minded" and focused on quality
  • Knowledge and experience with basic networking
  • Team player who is flexible, responsible, and dependable
  • Ability to handle simultaneous activities and work in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with commissioning, test and maintenance of electronics and mechanics
  • Experience with network setup and installation/test of system software
  • Dedication and desire to build a long career within the technical field
  • Travel 50% or more to meet client needs, position requires extensive domestic and international travel and work aboard offshore vessels

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance
  • Valid Passport
  • Must be a US citizen that is able to be cleared to the secret level

 

Pay Range: $48.00 - $52.00/hr. (eligible for overtime)

 

Work Location (hybrid): Lynnwood, WA

Travel within US and Internationally will be required.
