Auditing Manager

To further develop Kongsberg Maritime, we are looking for an Auditing Manager reporting directly to the Global Quality Manager and is a function in the division Business Support in Kongsberg Maritime.


As Auditing Manager, you will evaluate and give risk based and objective assurance, recommendation, and insight to the Kongsberg Maritime management team. You will audit governance, risk management, internal control, and verify that operational processes are adequate, effective and supports the business objectives, and in doing so promotes a sound internal control culture within Kongsberg Maritime. In line with Kongsberg Maritime management systems, the Auditing Manager is objective and independent from the business operations.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a risk based annual audit program setting out the audits to be performed during the upcoming year(s) to ensure KM licence to operate with compliance to certificates
  • Report the annual program to KM management and ensure the program is approved
  • Develop and improve the company internal auditing process including supporting documents and audit management tool
  • Implement the internal auditing process by provision of training to relevant personnel
  • Perform internal audits in accordance with the annual audit program when needed
  • Report audit findings to the auditee and follow up the closing of audit findings
  • Report significant audit findings to KM management or relevant functional management
  • Report status of the execution of the annual audit program to KM management
  • Support audit being performed by KM customers or by independent accreditation bodies
  • Ensure adequate lead auditor capacity and competences at KM for the execution of the annual audit program
  • Develop and provide internal management system awareness training for auditors and wider organisation

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in relevant subjects
  • Certified lead auditor or auditing experience
  • Experience in performing audits in similar industries
  • Operational experience, knowledge form the maritime or oil & gas industry is preferred
  • Experience from companies that are subject to ISO quality standards
  • Experience from preparing companies towards ISO certifications
  • Good knowledge to standards such as ISO 9001, 27001, 45001, 14001 and 19011
  • Good written and oral English skills

Work location
Preferably Poland or Norway, other KM locations in Europe can be considered for the right candidate.
