Available position as Assistant Manager Safety & Compliance

Pilot Flight Academy (PFA) is Scandinavia’s largest flight academy with more than 300 students and 80 employees. The Academy is located at Sandefjord Airport Torp and at Notodden Airport, both in Norway. We offer international pilot training with top modern facilities, aircraft and simulators.

Our Diamond 40 and 42 NG aircrafts are new and highly modern with advanced instrumentation. We have state-of-the-art flight simulators, one of which is a Boeing 737NG simulator.

The academy is growing due to a worldwide demand for pilots, and we are currently looking for an addition to our Safety & Compliance team.

The Assistant Manager Safety & Compliance shall assist both the nominated persons (postholders) for Safety Management and Compliance Monitoring. The Assistant shall be trained both internal and external to fulfil all necessary requirements.

The Safety & Compliance team is keeping an overview on all regulatory aspects that our organisation must comply with. You will perform audits and inspections in the operation to assure compliance with our manuals and regulations, and advise on where to improve processes.

As the Assistant Safety Manager, you will investigate reports that come in through our open reporting culture. You will work on safety promotion for continuous improvement of our Safety Management System to assure safe operations for our students and instructors.

The Assistant Manager Safety & Compliance shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assisting the Safety Manager and Compliance Monitoring Manager
• Analysis of safety reports
• Making risk analysis
• Assist on Management of Change processes
• Performing compliance checks
• Keeping track of new or upcoming EASA-regulations
• Creating internal reports and do analysis
• Development and oversight on Performance Indicators
• Development and/or improvement of processes and compliance manuals

Qualifications

• Educated to bachelor’s degree level in a relevant subject or relevant experience preferably within Airline/Aviation Training Organisation
• Previous experience with Safety or Compliance Management is a plus
• Strong command of spoken and written English
