Your Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts. As an AI Engineer at Handelsbanken you are passionate about coding in SQL and Python and has a deep interest in data flows and automation. You enjoy developing robust and high-performance code with reusable components. In addition to your technical skills, you have excellent communication abilities to engage stakeholders and understand the business context of the data you handle. You thrive in an agile work environment and enjoy collaborating through MOB or pair programming.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Partner with data scientists and functional leaders in sales, marketing, and product to deploy machine learning models in production.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
• Develop & automate ETL and ELT processes to help extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
• Build, maintain, and deploy data pipelines, data products, etc for analytics and data science teams on cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, governance, and compliance through quality control procedures.

About You

To succeed in this role, a few years of experience of working as Data Engineer or ML Engineer and cloud platforms are required. You have experience of advanced SQL skills and relational databases and database design. You have also been working with cloud Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.). You are willing to learn, or already know, Swedish.

We also see that you have:

• working knowledge of Cloud-based solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
• experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
• experience in data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Data Factory).
• experience in programming languages and tools such as Python, Spark, Rust.
• experience in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Experience of working with data scientists or data analysts
• Good understanding of cloud architecture & data lakehouse architecture
• Experience with working on large data sets and distributed computing
