Account Manager

Are you an experienced and passionate Key Account Manager and thrive on playing a key role within a dynamic Logistics team? If so, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated Account Manager to support some of our existing customers within our Special Cargo Logistics division.

The role of the Customer Service Account Manager is to ensure the customer's wishes are fulfilled by instigating and monitoring the entire process from initial enquiry to delivering on time and receiving payment for our services, resulting in a happy, satisfied customer who will not only place repeat orders but recommend DFDS to third parties.


What you will be responsible for:

  • Manages existing customers, follows them correctly and ensures a continuous relationship.
  • Quoting and monitoring the rates issued.
  • Organizes additional work and monitors costs.
  • Makes and manages bookings.
  • Monitoring / checking the loading and unloading process
  • Works and thinks proactively about improvements and solutions for the customer.
  • Develop customer base horizontally & vertically (increase return existing customers)
  • Provides the necessary information for the operational department
  • Project Management
  • Escalating any issues that need wider support to the Special Cargo Management team



What you will need to be successful

You will have a track record of success in Account Management and working within complex projects.
