Are you a Logistics professional who has a vast amount of experience managing the day to day operation of modern fleet? DFDS have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who can work independently to manage and operate your fleet in the most cost-effective manner.  

 

What we are looking for…

We are seeking an experienced professional to run a fleet of 44 tonne articulated trucks. The successful candidate must thrive from delivering the best results in a vibrant Logistics office whilst being given the autonomy to plan the fleet on a day to day basis. The Killingholme site is home to our internal haulage company who deliver DFDS trailers which have arrived on our own DFDS ferries to ensure the best corporate image is presented throughout.

 

What you will be responsible for…

• Ability to autonomously manage all transport activities using your previous experience.
• Drive improvement towards delivering a first-class service to our customers, ensuring all deliveries and collections are on time.
• Ensure all operational movements are completed professionally, on time and to the customers satisfaction – monitored through robust KPI’s
• Ensure drivers are compliant to all legal working directives and the Health & Safety of our employees and the customers employees is always maintained to a high standard.
• Actively build and develop relationships with our drivers.
• To undertake relevant training as appropriate.
• Ensure we are briefing and debriefing our drivers

• Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• IT Literate
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to build strong working relationships with drivers and customers
• International CPC (desirable).
