Trainee - House of Pricing Ocean

Now DHL are offering an opurtunity to work in a stimulating international environment in our Oceanfreight team, located at the DGFF Headoffice in at Skedsmokorset, outside of Oslo.

We are looking for a new Trainee who is commercially - and result driven with a keen interest in logisitcs and shipping.

The right candidate will support and be a part of our pricing team. additionally, you will be working with our purchasing towards our suppliers.

It is important that you take responsibility for your tasks and that you are passionate about contributing to our customers successes.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

- Maintain and popultate internal rate database - the foundation for our pricing

- Update and upload the MTS rates, analysis of profit, volume and hitrate

- Respond to pricing requests from our network, based on given guidelines

- Maintain, co-ordinate and distribute routing instructions to our agent network.

- Create the templates for autocosting and autorating - a process to automatise costing and pricing

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES

- Work in our production system

- Comfortable with Microsoft office, and especially Excel

- Ready to contibute to high-speed environment

- Find it interesting to work with data  and be a driver for further improvement of our work processes

- Request prices from suppliers as well as other DHL Global Forwarding offices

- Learn how to handle simple RFQ's (Request for Quotations)

- Dstribute prices and quotes etc. through our systems and in Excel.

 

YOUR PROFILE

- Highly engaged & motivated.

- Problem solver

- Excellent knowledge in Excel and generally comfortable working with databases

- Higher education is an advantage

- Teamplayer

- Fluent in English, good command in Norwegian/or another Nordic language
