Job description

Corporate Relations (CR) is responsible for strengthening Statkraft’s visibility and brand, by communicating the company’s stories in an engaging way through its own channels as well as through PR work. The unit is also responsible for positioning Statkraft’s priorities and interests among political stakeholders, and for the dialogue with the Norwegian state, as the company’s owner.

The Corporate Relations unit consists of three teams; Public Relations, Brand and Digital, and Politics, Ownership and Climate. We have 17 highly competent and passionate employees across these teams, with diverse backgrounds. All teams work closely with the business and staff areas in Statkraft, and gain insight into the company’s business across all areas and geographies. We are now looking for a dedicated trainee to further strengthen our unit!

Your role

The trainee programme consists of three 4-month modules. The composition of the year-long programme will be tailored to your background and will give you broad experience and professional challenges. At the end of the programme you will be offered a permanent position in one of Corporate Relations’ three teams. The position will be located at Statkraft’s Head office in Oslo.

Your profile

• Master’s degree within social sciences, communications, business or other relevant field
• Talent and passion for communication and politics
• Keen interest in renewable energy and climate policy
• Strong relationship building skills
• Solid commercial awareness
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
• Self-driven, comfortable with high workload and a positive team player
• Personal initiative and creativity will be emphasised

About the International Trainee Programme

The objective of the programme is to develop young talents in the best way possible, and provide insight into our entire operations and value chain. It is a one-year programme with three different work rotations of four months, of which at least one will be abroad. The programme is tailored to the trainee’s background and the unit’s competence needs. As a trainee you will attend regular courses and social gatherings where the trainee group meets to acquire new skills and share experiences. Upon completion of the programme you are offered a permanent position in the department where you will continue to work in a new position.
