Structured and ambitious Purchase Category Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, and result-oriented Purchase Category Manager to become part of MENU's Supply Chain team in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will report to the Head of Purchase & Sales Support and be overall responsible for the activities within the value flow of the category while developing and challenging the status quo. Your work field will mainly be within the lightning and accessories categories, and you will be expected to manage supplier performance, make spend analyses, find and execute improvement opportunities, and lead initiatives to be able to achieve relevant KPIs. Further, you will secure capacity and competitive lead times while overseeing forecasts and driving agreed projects.

MAIN JOB TASKS

  • Primarily responsible for the APAC suppliers with focus on the categories; lighting and accessories incl. price negotiations.
  • Product procurement forecast, planning, and execution as well as optimization processes
  • Participate in new product launch process
  • Availability of NOOS and on-time deliveries for all inventory items according to forecast or max/min
  • Reduction of MOQ without effecting the cost price with higher prices
  • COGS projects
  • Analysis and optimization within billing, accounting, and credit notes control
  • Liaising with product development, warehouse, sales team, finance, and forwarders making sure orders are expedited and completed
  • Maintain ERP-master data
  • Contribute to strategy process regarding sourcing, line extensions and supply chain
  • QC with contact to a 3-party company
  • Handle inquiries from sales support

PROFILE AND DESIRED EXPERIENCE

The right candidate has:

  • Great team player skills and can easily picture him/herself working closely with a group of international colleagues in an informal work environment
  • Flexible and structures skills and can handle many tasks at the same time, is extrovert and thrives with both operational and strategic tasks
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience from a purchasing department
  • Knowledge from working with forecast towards suppliers
  • A structured working style combined with strong analytical competencies
  • Cross-cultural understanding and interacting effortlessly with stakeholders across the organization
  • Fluency in English, written as well as spoken
  • And the technical skills needed for the job e.g.,
    • MS Office (Experienced in Excel and with good knowledge of Word, PowerPoint)
    • Experience with Outlook and Focal Scope
    • Experience with ERP system as Axapta or similar
